WHO ARE WE ?

We are a team of professionals, Europeans and Americans, producers, distributors, writers or critics who have the same passion for foreign films. We believe that foreign films, from the Italian Neorealism to the French New Nave, made the cinema as we see it today.
We are also saddened to see foreign films under-distributed in this country, even if there is a real demand for it, real people passionate by foreign films.
This is why we’ve decided to bring you, through this site, news about production, distribution; reviews and analysis about a director, a film or a genre.
We also thought that it would be essential for you to be able to have access to such films, books, posters etc. it’s why you’ll find the maximum of DVD, VHS, books or posters that we were able to locate in the USA or abroad. We will try through the year to make this site as interesting and as rich as we can. Your feedback will always be welcome.

THE CINEMA:

Because we are coming from the world of filmmaking, the form and the content will always be our main focus. Our reviews, and the number of « candles » we attribute to films, will be based on their cinematographic qualities, as well as the innovation in terms of style and of course their content. We believe that movies can make a difference and that movies matter. The history of filmmaking is full of examples. Therefore this site will be open to content and to the filmmaker who have something to say or to defend. We will always give priority to the film, which is trying to make a difference versus the one which is only a commercial machine trying to please a crowd.

THE PRODUCT AND ITS PRICE:

We will try through our relations and connections in the movie industry, to make available to you the largest number of tapes, dvds, posters and books related to foreign cinema and specifically the films and authors we are trying to defend. Because this site is not a primary source of income for many of us -- the prices of the products will be as low as possible.
This is the place were you will also be able to trade and sell your own products through the classifieds ads.

Because this site is designed for you, we hope that you will help us to make it better on an ongoing basis, and that you will participate actively.
